An illustrated gig poster for the Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
I chose to take their name literally and draw an iguana that is draped in wizard’s robes. I wanted to challenge myself to draw all the scales on the lizard and be as true to life as possible while personifying it. The project also includes a printed shirt with both back and front breast-pocket designs. The shirt was dyed maroon then further tie-dyed using India Ink which gave the shirts their faded black patterning.
