This project consists of four wooden plaques that have been engraved with illustrations of four different dog breeds in their (more or less) natural working environment. I strove for a realistic style that relied entirely on line work and kept the viewer’s eye moving around the composition. The illustrations started as pen and ink before being scanned and turned into vector images. The files were then used to laser engrave the images on to wooden boards, sealed with wood finish, hand sanded, and polished.
